Works as Intended The strap is a very snug fit and is a bit hard to wrestle onto a fire helmet though this is good in the long run. I use it to hold a Streamlight flashlight and a couple of chocks which it does fine and keeps everything within easy reach.I have my doubts this will survive an actual structure fire or any kind of proximity exposure but those come infrequently and it’s easy enough to rip off your head as you arrive on scene. I have had this band for a couple months now and it is holding up great. I use the band to hold a wooden chock and a garrity disposable light. The band keeps them both snug against the helmet and had no issues putting it on the helmet. Excellent product.
