Reset HRM Following Transmitter Battery Replacement I was pretty happy with my Cateye Strada 420DW for the first couple of months. Then, the HRM failed. I replaced the battery, and from what I could discern from the non-user friendly user manual, I need to do an All Clear. So I did, but couldn’t get the HRM to register. I called tech support. Turns out, after one changes the battery in the HRM transmitter, one must hit the AC button>Mode>set time (click MODE to select 24 or 12 hr clock, click and HOLD MODE to set clock time by clicking MODE to set Hour, then press and hold MODE to set minutes)>Menu>MODE click through to ID Sync page>press and Hold MODE to SP1 ID page. This sets your upper readout>Menu>ID Sync page>press and Hold MODE>Click MODE to Hr page>press and Hold MODE to see bottom display digits scrolling quickly.Remove HRM transmitter from strap. Look on back for reset button near battery holder.Press once.Snap transmitter back in place. HRM icon should be flashing. If no numerical…

Just what you need If you are looking for a good bicycle computer with a heart rate sensor look no further, this is what you need. Very small and light, simple to operate. The set up is not complicated but Will highly recomend to look into cateye’s website […] as they offer more user friendly and detailed instruction on the site. Look for the computer model and then click on the manuals tab, there they offer a quick set up guide and a slide show that will make your life a lot easier. It also has the instrucions and a chart for the different sizes of tires. The only thing I would have liked for it to have is a backlit display that would lit at least for a second at night when activated. If you drive at night….you wont see the screen. Other than that is perfect.
