Excellent jacket Jacket is very well made, except for the main zipper, which often gets stuck and is not en-pair with the rest of the craftsmanship. It is very warm (when fast cycling and working out), especially considering how lightweight and thin it is. I wore it at 7 C climbing and it was too warm with a merino baselayer, despite open vents, had to take it off after 30min. I do sweat a lot anyhow. At 2-5 degrees C on descent at 50 kmh it was perfect. It is definitely suitable for subzero rides. It is not too breathable, but no windstopper is, and iti is better than any of its kind that i’ve tried in that respect.Have not tested wateresistance yet.Looks great and is very visible in green/black. Excellent reflectiveness.Fit is very good, I bought a large jacket, I am 177cm and 71 kg, 41 inch chest. Could have taken a medium, but it would be too snug with a midlayer underneath. It is expensive, but worth it.

Inside, a low pile fleece is strategically placed in places to trap warm air where needed and is missing from places where Gore thinks you will build up too much heat. So on my white/red jacket, where you see the red, that is where there is no fleece: center of the back, ribs, and the bottom of the arms. The black stripes you see on the…
