Not quite what I expected, and it’s falling apart I purchased three of these for me and my friends to go running at night. It only fit when we ran in the winter with coats on. When I attempted to wear it in the summer over just a t-shirt, the “adjustability” feature on it really came up short. If I cinched the sides down enough to hug me so that it wasn’t flopping around, then the extra flaps of velcro were banging along. If I fixed it so that the velcro wasn’t driving me crazy, then it was so loose that it would literally spin halfway around me with every step. After only a few months of use (and I’m NOT hard on stuff like this), the piping around the edges began to pull away. The seams are tiny and grabbing onto mesh, so it isn’t surprising…just annoying. I finally bit the bullet and went to my local running store and bought an amphipod brand xinglet, and am MUCH happier. Totally adjustable, very durable and about the same cost as this Nathan vest.

well made, minimalist and very bright at night This is not a reflective shirt, so I am not looking for something to hang down to my waist. I am 6 foot tall and 180lbs and the L/XL is perfect. The length takes the bottom of the vest to about an inch below my last rib. This vest is adjustable enough for me to wear over a t-shirt or three layers of clothing and when running it does not jostle or move. I don’t want to even notice it, and that is the ultimate effect. Other than the reflective material, the main part of the vest is a lightweight mesh fabric. The reflective properties are beyond excellent and very bright when car headlights hit the material. If you want minimalist, effective safety reflection combined with the least noticeable vest that will also stay snug on you then this is your product. If you want a full shirt-like coverage, a loose baggy vest, need a bunch of pockets, or are looking for daytime and nighttime attention then it may not be what you are looking for.
