About Sugoi
For years, hardcore athletes have known that Sugoi makes some of the most hard-working apparel in endurance sports. For over 20 years, the company has been working diligently to make sure it lives up to its name. Sugoi’s journey began when David Hollands, a bicycle racer, and Carol Prantner, a fashion student, founded the company in 1987. The upstart originated as a basement operation in the outdoor playground of Vancouver, British Columbia. The initial product consisted merely of bike shorts, made to address the short supply of genuine technical cycling apparel, which all came from Japan or Europe at the time.

These humble shorts contained the genesis of the original Sugoi ethic of innovation and excellence, and soon enough other competitors wanted the shorts too. Sugoi quickly earned an almost cult following among athletes seeking the best-performing, best-looking apparel available.

Twenty years hasn’t changed Sugoi’s relentless focus on making workouts a great experience, but the company has certainly changed. Today, it has more than 250 employees. Its expansive catalogs now offer hundreds of technical garments and accessories, including underlayers, jackets, shorts, swimsuits, socks, and hats. With distribution throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, Sugoi is truly an international brand.

Ironman winners, world champions, and Olympians–they’ve all worn Sugoi, and they continually provide the company with flattering feedback on its range of apparel. The people at Sugoi admit that they revel in such praise from the ranks of the elite, but they’ve always known their success derives from recognizing and serving the needs of their core customer: the committed, everyday athlete.

Great arm warmers Bought these for cycling during the fall/early winter. I’ve used them in 50 degree weather and they did an excellent job at keeping my arms warm. Anything below 50…you should probably just upgrade to a cycling jacket.Sizing: I bought a Size Med. My arms are about 15.5 inches and they are skin tight. I probably could have gone with a large..but the Med still works for me.

Great for running… I’ve had a pair of these for about 3 years now. They’ve been used on everything from 3mi-25mi training runs and during half and full marathons (including the 2010 Boston Marathon) when the weather dips into the upper30s or lower40s. These things are fantastic! They manage to maintain a great medium of warmth while not getting so hot you want to take them off. The material wicks away the sweat nicely and is very comfortable on the arms. I like the plastic-y band at the top that keeps them in place during a run.I’ve used multiple brands and styles of arm warmers but continue to come back to my trusty Sugoi Midzeros because of the comfort and the reliability…still have absolutely no issues after 3 years and well over two-thousand miles in them. The only minor issue that I’ve had with these is some instances of chaffing in my arm pit. However, that’s a very, very minor issue compared to other chaffing issues related to distance running and the overall value…

Excellent warmth for cool/cold rides, but also breathable for the Spring I purchased the Medium size. Bottom of wrist to the top of my bicep measured at 15″, while my bicep measures a little over 11 inches around. They fit great, and stay very snug in their place.I’ve washed them a few times by hand and they seem to hold up great. They work great for maintaining warmth and keeping your arms dry from perspiration.Very happy with this purchase.
