2 year Roadie! I prefer the men’s models of bikes because I regularly go on 5-20 mile long bike trips. I need as many places to attach gear bags as possible and the higher crossbar on the men’s models fulfills that requirement.I purchased my 26″ Roadmaster Granite Peak men’s mountain bike 2 years ago. It was the first time I ever had a men’s bike with a slanted crossbar and I loved it because I’m short and the old bars were a little – umm – uncomfortable, at a stop light!Anyway, I purchased my bike already assembled, so I rode it the 6 miles home. The ride on this bike is very smooth and felt solid over bumps and holes. The front suspension was a noticeable improvement from my last, old bike in handling the rougher terrain of shortcutting across an undeveloped property which had a lot of rocks and grass clumps and the twist shifter made the gears much easier to figure out and use.Because I’m short, the only difficulty I’ve had with this bike was adjusting the seat…
