Fantastic value, but with flaws I’ve owned dozens of bikes and ridden my whole life (I’m 40 years old). I know a few things about bikes, and purchased this one as a daily rider that I wouldn’t be devastated if it were stolen. Here are some initial impressions that may help other buyers:

Nice Bike for the Money I wanted a bike for riding with my kids on the weekends. I checked out some of the cheaper bikes, but I wanted something better. But I did not want to spend 400 or more in the bike store. This bike arrived well packed; the Schwinn box was inside another box, so it was well protected.

Rode the Hotter than Hell 100 mile race in 7 hours and 22 minutes on this Schwinn I first laid eyes on the package at 7:15 PM (on the day it was promised to arrive) and at 7:40 PM I was silently shifting through the gears on this bike putting 5 miles of initial test mileage on it. Wheels are perfectly true, the gears are flawless (The front derailleur required a minor adjustment) and the bike rides like what I assume a road bike should. I’ll be honest, this is my first road bike and the other bike I’ve been riding is a hybrid. I’m so far very pleased with this seller and with this bike. Basically, all I had to do was unpack the bike, put the front wheel on, put the handlebar on, put the pedals on the crank, air up the tires, tighten up the handlebar reflector and the seat post reflector, install the seat and ride the bike. I’m 5’10 1/2″ tall and I have lots of seat post left. The straight bar is comfortable so far, although I haven’t ridden but about 5 miles on the bike. I plan to keep this comment updated as I ride more. So far, though, it’s been $250 well…
