My thoughts on this product. I gave these shifters 3 stars to be fair. If I knew everything there was to know about them, they would get a two. These things feel very cheap and once mounted, they work even more cheaply. The nut on the friction side comes loose so easily even when tightened as much as possible. I can’t really tell what the deal is with the index side, but these things just aren’t worth even 10 bucks. I would put another 10 to 20 in and get some older metal ones of way better quality. As far as I can tell, it won’t fit post mounts, so you have to use the supplied clamp. Subjectively, the look is out of place for a vintage steel road bike and the rear shifter has that huge barrel off to the side it. However I like the click of the rear shifter, but I don’t care for the feel of the left’s friction. I doubt also that one can buy a handle bar mount…

So Fixie got a full conversion to a 2×7.These shifters work literally perfectly and as you’d expect or hope. Also, they seem as durable as bricks so far as downtube shifters go, and look modern enough to match someone who doesn’t still run vintage parts (2×7 with nice new derailleurs, a skinny seat and a pair of RL720 cross brakes…
